In a watershed joint bid, Botswana and Namibia aim to bring the 36th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to Southern Africa. In the continued pursuit of this endeavour, the Botswana and Namibia Bid Committee “BONA 2027” announce the engagement of Ms.
Tshepo Happy Maphanyane as Head PR and Marketing for BONA 2027. Ms. Maphanyane’s knowledge and extensive expertise across varied communication platforms and applied PR strategies affirm her selection to BONA2027 and her appointment comes backed with the support of her employer; BotswanaPost.

We believe with her on board, we will be able to ensure no one is left behind in terms of the progress made towards this colossal task of putting the bid together and publicizing all Bona2027 activities.

Ms. Maphanyane is a seasoned Public Relations Professional with local, regional and international experience. She has a Masters in Journalism Media and Communication from Cardiff University and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Journalism from Limkokwing University. She joins the Bona2027 Bid committee with a wealth of experience in the fields of Communications, Media Consultancy, Stakeholder Engagement, Brand Optimization, Change Management and Corporate Social Investment. Her appointment is with immediate effect while maintaining her role as Communications Manager with BotswanaPost.
