Senior National team flight to Morocco, Rabat for intensive training , ahead of playing Afcon 2023 qualifiers game against Equatorial Guinea. Zebras will face Equatorial Guinea in the AFCON qualifiers to be played in Equatorial Guinea on March 24 and later host Equatorial Guinea in a return match game at Obed Itani Stadium on March 28, 2023.The Zebras are at the bottom of Group J and out of the two games played,they drew one game and lost one.
At the top of the log is Tunisia with four points, followed by Equatorial Guinea and Libya with three points each.
Being interviewed by Botswana Daily news Mpote said sometimes it is very difficult to get all the players one wanted due to injuries, in terms of the physical aspect it is better looking at the players who play week in and week out,” he said.
The Zebras will first camp in Morocco for acclimatization adding that before landing in Equatorial Guinea.
“We report for camp on March 12, and we will be leaving on March 13 for Morocco, and we have proposed to have a game on March 17, we will also look for strong teams that will help us to check our tactical aspect,” he said.
