Gaborone United has appointed Benny Kgomela as the head coach on a one-year contract. Kgomela starts his role with the immediate effect as the club prepares for the CAF Champions League Preliminary Round clash with AS Vita from Democratic Republic of Congo on September 10.
“We are excited that Mr Kgomela has agreed to join us and he brings in a lot of experience having worked as Botswana Football Association Technical Director. His experience will come handy as we prepare for our return to continental football. Mr Kgomela holds the CAF A License which is the requirement in continental football,” said Brand and Marketing Manager Herbert Letsebe.
Kgomela will be assisted by Pontsho Moloi and Joel Mogorosi. Former head coach Innocent Morapedi has been redeployed to the position of Technical Director.
